What a great idea…a campervan meet-up on a nice campsite, good weather and serious afternoon tea together! Just back from a great camping weekend in Kai, our Alphard campervan, talking campervan-geek with other vanners and eating delicious cake and scones…

Our New Campervan, Kai, has Arrived!
Can there be anything more exciting than picking up your new campervan! Well maybe, but probably not for the campervan geeks and dreamers in the world. A few days ago, we collected our new campervan, a Toyota Alphard converted by Northstar Conversions, from the Isle of Wight. While we were there, we had a weekend camping with him to get to know him and so that Northstar could do any tweaks that were necessary. Here is what happened…

So do you know what you would do if you had a serious injury while you were camping? It’s not really something that I’d ever really thought about, that is until it happened to me back in April…

CAMPERVAN DAYS OUT: Wasabi, Smartphone Food and a Strange Incident
Last weekend Glyn and I had a fantastic time at the Abergavenny Food Festival in Wales. This festival happens every year in September and is a bit like the Edinburgh Fringe Festival except that, instead of the town being covered in comedy, it is covered in FOOD! We ate LOTS of good food and bought foodie items from some great local producers but there was a strange incident that still remains a mystery…

CAMPERVAN RECIPES: More-ish Lamb Burgers from Moor-ish Dartmoor (sorry..)
We are not long back from a magical weekend on Dartmoor in Devon which is one of my favourite places to camp and explore. I had a pack of lamb mince from home which needed using up and I was trying to think of how to best use it in a campervan recipe. As it turned out it made 2 meals for us: some gorgeous healthy burgers and some meatballs for a pasta dish the next day…

PLACES TO VISIT: LONDON – Big Heads, Benedict Cumberbatch and Belly Laughs
Have you ever thought about LONDON as a campervan adventure? Yesterday Glyn and I had a brilliant adventure in London down by the River Thames. We had been given tickets to watch the TV show ‘QI’ being recorded live at the ITV studios on the South Bank so we made a day of it and had a seriously good outing…

Campervan Shows: Cooking Demo, Special Vans and Gorgeous Smells at The Harrogate Motorhome Show, Yorkshire
Last Weekend, Glyn and I went north to beautiful Yorkshire as I was giving a campervan cooking demo at The Harrogate Motorhome Show. There were some unusual vehicles at the show and we inevitably bought new bits of kit for the van at the stalls. We arrived a couple of days early to explore the area a bit first and really enjoyed our day in Harrogate (serious cake as you will see later)….
Soulful Travel and Cooking Tips from Amazing Maderia
I’ve been a bit quiet on here lately because Glyn and I decided to escape the soggy UK and find a bit of sun on the sumptious island of Maderia. We hadn’t been there before but have totally fallen in love with it. We stayed in a studio apartment that only had a 2-ring hob for cooking so it was a bit like cooking in a campervan (except a lot more head room!) and I developed a couple of campervan-style recipes while I was there…
